The FS Music Rock Band Program is the core of our music education, designed for students who are ready to take the next step in their musical journey. This program consists of weekly group rehearsals where students play popular rock songs with a full band, working alongside their peers. Each student is assigned songs and parts based on their age, experience, and ability to learn new skills and concepts.
Students work through their parts in private weekly lessons, refining the skills and techniques that the songs introduce. The goal of this program is to prepare students for live performances. Every few months, FS Music Rock Band students perform at local venues, showcasing their progress and playing in front of a live audience.

THE JOURNEY TO THE STAGE
At FS Music, our music programs for kids and teens are designed to inspire and help students grow by getting them on stage and performing. The goal is to build strong musical proficiency while fostering confidence and creativity. All of our programs are designed to guide students toward our Rock Band Program, where they will truly refine their musical skills.
Students in our Rock Band Program typically have some previous music experience, either through our Group Band Program or other basic music training. These musicians receive a custom development plan from their instructors, which includes both private lessons and group band rehearsals. In these sessions, students not only learn key musical concepts but also explore different instruments to discover which one they want to pursue in their musical journey.

What will my child learn in the Rock Band Program?
In our Rock Band Program, your child or teen will develop key music skills such as stage performance, harmonies, and overall musicianship. They'll have the chance to perform live at local venues, giving them real-world experience in a band setting. Along the way, they'll also gain valuable life skills, including responsibility and teamwork, all while jamming on stage with their peers.
Will my child get individual lessons in the Rock Band Program?
Absolutely! Our Rock Band Program includes weekly private lessons alongside engaging group rehearsals. These rehearsals allow students to progress at their own pace while challenging them to grow musically.
Can beginner students join the Rock Band Program?
Yes! For beginner students, we offer a trial lesson to assess their current skills and strengths. Based on this evaluation, our instructors will recommend a suitable program. Even students over 13 years old can begin the Rock Band Program if they’re ready. After high school graduation, students up to 18 years old can enjoy one final season in our summer Rock Band Program.
While some beginners might be ready to jump directly into the Rock Band Program, most will benefit from starting with our Group Band classes to build a solid foundation in music basics. Our instructors ensure that each student progresses at their own pace, offering support to help them get ready to perform when the time is right.
