Intermediate to Advanced Ukulele Lessons
FS Music’s intermediate and advanced ukulele lessons help students refine technique, expand their repertoire, and build confidence. Private lessons focus on fingerpicking, strumming patterns, chord progressions, and musical expression, while music theory and ensemble work enhance overall musicianship.
Students can start in our group band program, where they receive weekly private lessons and group rehearsals to develop their skills alongside other musicians. As they progress, they can work their way up to the rock band performance program, where they rehearse in a full band setting and take the stage at live events.

At FS Music, we make it easy! We take organization and progress tracking seriously. At the end of each lesson, we create a video recap summarizing what the student worked on, highlighting key techniques, and setting goals for the next session. This ensures that students can review their lesson anytime and continue improving between sessions. Additionally, all assignments—both current and past—are stored in the student's personal portal, keeping everything neatly organized. Whether it's a new song, technique drills, or past exercises, students have easy access to their full assignment history, making practice structured and efficient.
Ukulele Lessons for Kids
At FS Music, most young ukulele players start in our group band program, where they receive weekly private lessons and band rehearsals, learning to play alongside other musicians in a fun, supportive setting. This hands-on experience helps develop rhythm, teamwork, and confidence faster than private lessons alone.
As students progress, they can move up to our rock band performance program, continuing with weekly private lessons and rehearsals while preparing for live performances. FS Music makes learning exciting—start with group band and grow into a true performer!

At FS Music, most teens start in our group band program, where they receive weekly private lessons (30 minutes or 1 hour) and band rehearsals, helping them develop their skills while playing alongside others. This hands-on experience improves rhythm, chord transitions, and musical confidence in a fun, supportive environment.
Once ready, students advance to our rock band performance program, continuing with weekly private lessons and rehearsals while preparing for live performances. Whether learning for fun, performances, or future musical opportunities, FS Music helps every teen grow as a musician!

Ukulele players are also a strong part of the adult guitar program, where they are welcomed alongside guitar and bass players. What age should a child start ukulele lessons?
There’s no perfect age to start ukulele lessons, but most children under 5 or 6 may not yet have the dexterity and focus needed for formal training. However, younger children can begin with simple rhythm exercises and basic strumming patterns to build coordination. If a child is eager and motivated, they can start learning basic ukulele techniques at an early age.

Can i or my child learn ukulele without an instrument?
Yes! Beginners can start by practicing rhythm, finger placement, and strumming techniques without a ukulele. You can start off with one that is very affordable at FS Music. Our instructors can help you find the best beginner-friendly option.
